We Will Have an Intern

We just received news that our school was selected to have an intern from Japan for three months. Akiko will be coming mid-January through mid-April. We are all very excited! Several staff members have volunteered to host her and help her experience U.S. home life.

Goodmorning Jen:

You are having a delightful experience and so glad for the opportunity for you! It truly makes a difference being hosted by local people who can give you the background of all the places you see.
The temples made me think about what they called "whispering floors" that made different sounds for the guards to know what rooms people were in as we went through ShoGun's Temple. Wonder if they still have that type of floor.
Wondering what all you can show in response for your teacher. The US isn't so old and we don't have so much to stand in awe of.
Enjoy each moment. Praying your health is doing fine.
We love you, Grandpa & Grandma

Dear Jen:

We love your web site and thank you for providing a way to enjoy your trip with you.
Today is Dad's birthday and we are having a fried chicken dinner at our house. We'll be thinking of you.
Brian turns 21 today and they are all going out to celebrate, not sure which restaurant.
Have a great day! Celebrate each moment as they are special, just like you!
Love you,
Grandpa & Grandma
